Prayer of a Preborn Child

Let us never forget to be a voice for the voiceless, speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves...
Mama
Will you let me live?
Will I ever see a setting sun?
Will I get to see the stars?
And sing and dance and laugh and run?
Will I get to hold your hand?
Call you "Mommy," hug you tight?
Or will those "doctors" be let in
Allowed to take my life?
Because that's your right...
Right?
Mama, please don't let me go
Let me feel a spring wind blow
Let me live through pain and joy
Please don't kill your girl or boy
Please, don't let the "doctors" in
Don't let them commit this sin
Mama, they say it's your right to choose
But surely I deserve a choice, too
Though I'm called "fetus"
"Clump of cells" "Tissue blob"
"Mistake" as well...
I'm a person!
Though I'm small and different-looking, too, don't fall
into the lies those "clinics" spin
The lies that rake the money in
Mama, please don't let me die
Let me grow to laugh and cry
I'm your baby
That's a fact
I love you
Please...
Love me back
