You’re a successful businessman with everything you can dream of: money, a large house, a summer home on the beach. There’s no time for such silly ideas such as charity or compassion on the less fortunate. One day, as you’re walking down the street you pass a tattered old man with a beaten-up suitcase. He begins to speak to you, but expecting to be asked for money, you rudely brush him aside. But he takes you by surprise when he reaches out and presses the handle of his suitcase into your hand. What happens next changes your life forever….

Two characters are in a building or room surrounded by statues. There is a chessboard between them, a ticking clock, and a door that can only be opened by someone winning the game. Both characters want to bring each other out alive, but only one can win. Oh- And the house knows what they’re thinking. They have to play their hardest, or the worst will come to pass…

It’s a magical game of baseball in a world populated by elves, dragons, and fairies. You’re on a team up against the toughest competitors: literal giants. Normally, your team is full of spirit, but in this case no one wants to be out on the field. And of course, unlucky newbie that you are, you are put up to bat…

A young girl living on the streets of London is used to the comings and goings of the people in the nearby park. She has studied them all, and there’s a strange pattern occurring with a well dressed man that has tickled her curiosity for days now. Each day the same man sits on the same bench wearing the same tie, and at the same time each day someone new walks up to him, sits on the bench beside him, and makes a remark about the chance of rain that afternoon. The man hands over his newspaper, gets up, and leaves. None of the people he talks to ever come back. One day the street urchin’s curiosity gets the better of her and she decides to take part in the ritual herself…

You own a camera with a marvelous gift- No matter what you take a photo of, it always shows a black-and-white picture of what was happening right there fifty years ago. For weeks now you’ve enjoyed walking around your house and neighborhood, seeing what your grandparents and the founders of this community did all those years ago. But one day you snap a casual photo of Mrs. Lorraine’s backyard, and once the photo develops you drop the camera in shock….

I know this was a bit of a short post, but I wanted to share something fun and perhaps useful that wouldn’t take up too much time.

Happy writing, y’all!
