Greetings, fellow book lovers! Today I will be doing the adventure book tag, and I shall endeavor to be somewhat brief. At least not to bore you to death with my ramblings: likely impossible, but here we go.
What book character would you love to go on an adventure with?
Oh... There are so many I could pick. I will keep it to one, and choose Gandalf. Actually, that wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, though there are many others I could choose. I pick Gandalf because he is kind and sincere, sometimes very merry, and his wisdom and skill would be more than welcome on any journey.
If you could be any character for a day, who would you be and why?
Once again, there are many, including many of my own characters, that I would love to be. But I shall try to settle with one.
It might have to be Eowyn. Or Lucy Pevensie. Or even Maid Marian. Some medievalish-fantasyish young woman who can hold her own with some sort of weapon and goes up against the enemy with courage despite how terrified she may be.
Why I would choose a character like this is simply because this is one of my favorite kinds of characters, possibly my favorite. I love reading and writing about characters like these.
What book is on your TBR bucket list?
I've answered Tolkien to my previous questions, so I won't this time. The Count of Monte Cristo is a book I've been meaning to read for a while. It's a classic, and I've heard many good things about it.
What book has a contemporary (real world) setting that you would love to go to?
Without a doubt, The Viking Quest series. Parts of this story are set in Ireland and I would LOVE to go there. Sadly, I can't make the time period in which the book is set, but Ireland itself will be awesome enough.
What book has a fictional/fantastical setting you would love to go to?
Tolkien's The Lord Of The Rings. I would absolutely love to visit Middle-earth. It is just such a marvelous, well-built, incredible world. Andrew Peterson's Aerwiar would be a great place to visit too— provided I could steer clear of the Fangs and Bomnubbles and Snickbuzzards.
What book or book edition would you do anything to get your hands on?
The old edition of The Wingfeather Saga. My family has copies of all the books, but I prefer the look and feel of the old edition, and have been searching for the last two I need to complete my collection.
Name a character who is very adventurous and daring
Picket Longtreader. I would elaborate with some specific instances that immediately come to mind, but for the sake of those of you who have not read The Green Ember books, I will refrain from saying. Those of you who have read them doubtless know exactly what I am thinking of.
Name the craziest or weirdest book you’ve ever read
Well, this question could easily be interpreted different ways, depending on the way one defines "crazy" and "weird" and to what they apply them. Probably the closest I can get is The Journeys to Fayrah series by Bill Myers. There are some pretty crazy— and weird— things that happen in those stories. But they are great books, and I certainly recommend them.
Well, I hope you all enjoyed this. Until next time!

Ahh, our boy Picket. Honestly he really is the most daring person there; I have no idea how he survived the first chapter
Loved the post! I definitely agree with you about the Viking quest series.
And I also love dear Picket!!
