Reading Habits Book Tag (Kamama Edition)

Hello readers! Today I am doing the reading habits book tag, which is me answering some questions about my reading habits. Maybe I should have my fellow bloggers do this too and see how our habits differ! Enjoy!

Do you have a certain place for reading?

Yes! There’s this big comfy recliner in my family’s basement that I like to sit in with a book. If I can’t sit there for whatever reason, then I go to my bed and make myself comfortable with my hundreds of throw pillows.

Bookmark or random piece of paper?

I would love to be able to use bookmarks, themed bookmarks especially, I think they are so stylish and cute! However, the convenience of random pieces of paper is just too great. At my local library, they give me a receipt with a list of all the books I checked out and the due date of when they need to be returned. I usually end up using that as a bookmark with the books I checked out.

Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/certain number of pages?

Both! If I need to stop, it’s easy for me to just set the book down and come back to it later. But I try to stop after a chapter or a certain number of pages if I can. When I just randomly stop, I can have a hard time finding my place again.

Do you eat or drink while reading?

Um, not really. Maybe like some chips or something if I’m really hungry. I’m pretty clumsy though, so most of the time I try to keep food away from my books because I would totally be that person who would spill honey mustard on the pages. The only thing I drink around my books is water.

Multitasking: music or TV while reading?

Is this a joke? Of course not! Can anyone read a book while listening to music or watching TV? I would be distracted by the plot of the show or end up singing along to whatever music was being played.

One book at a time or several at once?

Definitely one book at a time! I would end up preferring one book over the other and only read that one. I also think that it would take longer for me to read two books at the same time. I can finish one book pretty quickly but going between two books would take me forever. I think. I’ve never actually tried.

Reading at home or everywhere?

When I actually leave the house, I read everywhere! I try to bring a book wherever I go, if possible, in case I get stuck in a boring situation.

Reading out loud or silently in your head?

Silently in my head. Does anyone actually read out loud to themselves? I mean, I’ll do a sentence here and there, but does anyone actually read entire novels to themselves? Not judging, just curious.

Do you read ahead or skip pages?

No, I do not. I feel like that’s ruining the plot. Sometimes I feel like skipping pages if the book is incredibly boring, but I never do.

Breaking the spine or keeping it new?

I like keeping the spine new, but if the book is a cheap paperback and the spine ends up breaking and I’m not usually mad about it. It is, after all, a cheap paperback.

Do you write in your books?

No, I do not. If I like a particular quote, I’ll write it down in my quote book but I do not write it straight up in my books. I like keeping my pages clear and uncluttered.

That’s it for the Reading Habits Book Tag! Thanks so much for checking it out! Let me know if you want to see the others give it a try!

Until Next Time!

This was a fun post! I would love to do my own version, and I hope Evelyn and Serena will do it also. (No pressure, of course, but... please do.☺️)
