Well, I hope you like poetry, because that's what you are going to get! I have another poem to share with you all, this one based slightly off lines from my younger sibling's prayers as well as my own imagination. Enjoy!

A Child's Prayer
Dear God—
Thank You that the trees are green
And shade me when I play.
Through the dancing leaves I see
A sunbeam’s golden ray.
Thank You for rain that falls and pools
In puddles on the ground.
So I can run and jump and splash
And send water all around.
Thank You for fireflies that shine
In shadows of the night
To chase and catch and hold and watch
Their flash of yellow light.
Thank You for butterflies that float
O’er lake and field and tree,
Their wings like whispers on the wind
So beautiful to see.
Thank You for baby sister’s laugh
The smile in her eyes.
I take her hand and we two have
Adventures just our size.
Thank You for the gift You gave
That Your Son sets me free.
Thank You for Your promise that
You’re always here with me.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
I love this so much! It definitely reminds me to thank God for all He does.
How absolutely beautiful. It's radiant with childlike faith and hope. I had a smile on my face by verse two that is still here
